Ibstock walling stone helps enhance ‘upmarket’ gated Grantham housing development
When it comes to a cost-effective alternative to natural stone, Ibstock’s walling stone range is in a class of its own – barely indistinguishable from the real thing!

Shearstone Walling Stone is a premium, high-quality product that offers the appearance and weathering qualities of natural stone, but at a fraction of the price. Such an approach was uppermost in the mind of Invicta Developments Managing Director David Goodridge when creating an up-market gated community comprising nine 4 and 5 bedroom houses on the Brown Acres site in Belton on the outskirts of Grantham.
David commented: “We wanted our houses to be in keeping with the area of Grantham and natural stone is very much part of the landscape. The Shearstone walling stone was specified in rustic Cotswold Village finish and proved to be very popular with customers. We are so pleased with the result we have specified its use on two further developments.”
Ibstock walling stone comes in a wide range of colour options and are designed to blend in alongside different stone styles throughout England and Scotland. They are constructed of carefully selected blends of local sourced natural aggregates and pigments, which are expertly combined with sand, cement and stones.
The range is available in three different finishes – split, pitched and cottage.
