Ibstock partners with the BPIC Network to champion diversity in UK construction

Jo Hodge - People, Sustainability & Social Impact Director at Ibstock Plc shares an update about its new strategic partnership with the BPIC Network.
Jo commented:
"Great businesses are successful because of great people, and the reality is, if we don’t have a workforce that is diverse, we are missing out on some great people and great ideas.That’s why I am delighted to confirm that we entered into a strategic partnership with the BIPC Network.Having been a part of a BPIC network event in late 2024, it was truly inspiring to listen, learn and be truly inspired by the incredible speakers and wider network working within the built environment. "
Ibstock have been on a journey of inclusion for a number of years and have an environment underpinned by values of care and teamwork in which we sincerely hope every employee can be their authentic self. Against these solid foundations we now want to attract individuals with a greater diversity of characteristics, experiences and ways of thinking to compliment our existing teams both for today and for the future.
The BPIC Network have done an amazing job of starting a movement in London, in a sector that is often viewed as lacking in diversity. At Ibstock, WE ARE determined to partner with them to change that so that more people feel their careers can expand into construction - it has so much to offer!
We look forward to learning from the BPIC Network but also supporting their ambition to move outside of their existing geography.
