As Ibstock celebrates 200 years of its head office location - colleagues from across the business came together at the Leicester site to recognise and celebrate the people who continue to shape the company's success.
The event brought together employees from a range of locations and teams, reflecting both the rich heritage of the business and the talent, commitment and expertise that drive Ibstock forward today.
Proceedings began with the celebration of our 2025 FUSE (fire up star employee) Annual Award winners, alongside the finalists and winners of the Apprentice of the Year and Mentor of the Year awards. The awards recognise colleagues who go above and beyond in living our values, supporting those around them and making a meaningful contribution to the success of the business.
The celebrations then extended to colleagues at the Leicester site, home to the Cebastone, Eclipse and SM2 factories, as well as employees from Head Office. More than 200 people came together to enjoy a barbecue to mark the occasion.
The event also showcased the strong connections Ibstock has built within its local community over the past two centuries. The Ibstock Brass Band opened the celebrations, helping to create a memorable atmosphere befitting such a significant milestone, while local partners supported the event throughout the day.
While the occasion marked another important chapter in Ibstock's history, it was equally an opportunity to recognise the people at the heart of the business today. From colleagues who consistently demonstrate our values, to apprentices developing the skills that will shape the future of our industry, and mentors who share their knowledge and experience with others, the event celebrated the individuals who make Ibstock a great place to work.
For 200 years, Ibstock has evolved and grown through the dedication of its people. As the business looks to the future, that commitment remains as important as ever. The bicentenary celebrations provided a fitting opportunity to reflect on the achievements of previous generations while recognising those who will help write the next chapter of the company's story.
Commenting on the celebrations, Joe Hudson, CEO of Ibstock plc, said:
"Our 200-year history has been built by generations of talented and dedicated people. Bringing colleagues together to celebrate this milestone, alongside recognising our award winners, apprentices and mentors, is a reminder that our greatest strength is our people. This celebration was an opportunity to recognise and thank colleagues across the business whose hard work continues to shape Ibstock's success today and for the future."
